Margaret Wright Adams Succumbs

Margaret Adams of Quartzite, Arizona, formerly of Letcher County, passed away, June 12th, 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona after a very long illness. She was the daughter of the late James and Leona Wright of Payne Gap, Kentucky, and the wife of Ben Adams of Quartzite, Arizona, also formerly of Cram Creek in Letcher County. Margaret was born on September 6, 1934, making her 72 years, 9 months and 6 days of age at her passing. She leaves behind two children, Sandy (Dave) Rothwell of Seattle, Washington, and Benny (Rhonda) Adams of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, two grandchildren, Cory Stewart of Seattle and Kerry Adams of Fort Lauderdale, two great-grandchildren, five sisters, Kay (Ray) Adkins of Kent, Ohio, Polly (Joe) Bittrich of Jenkins, Theresa (Bob) Matney of Brandenburg, KY, Janie Bright of Payne Gap, and Sheila Wright of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Three brothers, Tom (Norma) Wright of Jenkins, John (Dallas) Wright of Payne Gap, and Jesse (Esther) Wright of Payne Gap and lots of friends. Margaret was the third child of James and Leona, and the first of nine children to pass away. She fought a long, hard battle for the last few years of her life. She never gave up and always had an upbeat attitude about life, lifting the spirits of family and friends. She never complained. She always had a smile for everyone and if she knew of any of her friends or family who was sick or needed help, she let them know she was thinking of them and was there for them. Margaret will be missed, but she would want us to celebrate her life instead of feeling so sad. We love and miss you, Margaret.
