Mark Wright, agency manager of the Letcher County Agency for Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance, has been named 2011 Agency Manager of the Year for District Five. This is the second consecutive year that Wright has won this award.
The District Five Agency Manager of the Year award recognizes excellence in overall sales production, satisfactory loss-ratio, service to policyholders and an affirmative attitude. District Five is a 27-county region consisting of agencies in the following counties: Bath, Boyd, Breathitt, Carter, Elliott, Fleming, Floyd, Greenup, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Lewis, Magoffi n, Martin, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, Nicholas, Perry, Pike, Powell, Rowan and Wolfe.
Wright contracted as an agent with Kentucky Farm Bureau in November 1995 and became Agency Manager of the Letcher County Agency in February 2001. He attended Fleming-Neon High School and Morehead State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.
Wright and his wife, Ellena, have a daughter, Chloe, and are very active in their church. He is also the past recipient of Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Rookie of the Year, Sophomore of the Year, Agent of the Year, and Agency Manager of the Year awards.
Wright heads the list of a network of nearly 400 Kentucky Farm Bureau agents statewide. The company, founded in 1944, has offi ces in all of the Commonwealth’s 120 counties.
