The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment will hold six hours of continuing education for master loggers from 1 to 4 p.m. on March 10 and March 17. The cost is $25 for each session.
The topics on March 10 include new trucking regulations, logging legislation, tie log market update, stave log outlook, forest industry economic report and pulpwood market update.
On March 17, topics are sawlog market regional update, timber health updates, report from the log woods, Kentucky biomass and chip mills, new ticks and diseases, inspection procedures, problems and changes in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for loggers.
