Mattie Mullins dies in Pikeville



Mattie Ruth Mullins, 67, of Pikeville, died May 12 at Pikeville Medical Center.

Born in Pike County, she was a daughter of the late John and Nadene Isaac Fleming and the widow of Wade Mullins.

She was a member of the Virgie Alliance Church.

Surviving are a son, Robert Lee Mullins of Virgie; four daughters, Arlene Akers of Indian Creek, Janice Jasper of Sadieville, Christy Roberts of Robinson Creek, and Kathy Jo Mullins of Salyersville; two brothers, James Lee Fleming and Melvin Fleming, both of Long Fork; five sisters, Louise Smith of Corbin, Draxie Johnson and Rhonda Miller, both of Long Fork, Glenda Thacker of Douglas Parkway, and Emma Hopkins of Indian Creek; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Roy Allen Roberts, Felicia Johnson, Jeff rey Shane Roberts, Shawn Douglas Roberts, Brittany Collins, Emily Jasper, Laythan Wade Mullins, and Katie Jasper; and two great-grandchildren, Donna Ann Hall and Justin Gibson.

Funeral services were held May 16. Burial was in the Childers Cemetery at Long Fork.
