Maxine Taylor dies at 90


Graveside services for Maxine Louise Adams Taylor, 90, of Waseca, Minn., were held September 9 at the Pine Creek Cemetery in Mayking.

A daughter of the late Armina Finchum Adams and Charles Adams, formerly of Mayking, she died August 17.

She was the widow of Larry Taylor, and was also preceded in death by six siblings, Nelle Lemaster, Alice Burton, Geraldine Holbrook, James B. Adams, Charles Adams, Jr., and William C. Adams.

Mrs. Taylor left this area at a young age to work in Cincinnati, Oh., where she met and married Mr. Taylor, and the couple lived in Dayton until he retired.

They lived in Estero, Fla., until Mr. Taylor’s death, and the she moved to Waseca, Minn., to live near her nephew, Larry Lemaster and wife Carol until her death.

Surviving are two sisters, Margaret Adams of Mayking, and Martha Adams of Illinois; a brother, Paul Dean Adams and wife Joyceleen (Joy); and a number of nieces and nephews.

Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
