McRoberts native, 71, worked for D.C. firm



Loretta Anderson, 71, of Capon Bridge, W.Va., died September 18 at the Winchester Medical Center in Virginia.

Born in McRoberts to the late Brit and Gladys Looney Potter, she was the widow of Richard H. Anderson.

She was a sister of the late Benjamin Potter.

Mrs. Anderson had worked as the vice president of Summer Tariff Service in Washington, D.C., and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Whitacre, Va.

Surviving are three sisters, Gail Aloupis and Audrey Catterton, both of Waldorf, Md., and Elizabeth Mackey of Indiana; a halfbrother, Brit C. Potter; and a half-sister, Shirley Potter Cable of Kentucky.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson were held September 22 in West Virginia. Burial was in the Johnson Cemetery in McRoberts.
