Funeral services for Melanie Carol Cooper Blair, 43, were held May 16 at Kingscreek Community Church. Burial was in the Ratliff Cemetery at Kingscreek.
A daughter of Glen and Helen Cooper, she died May 14. She was a sister of the late Marcus Glen Cooper and a granddaughter of the late Herman Fields, and Sam and Viola Boggs.
She was a teacher at Letcher Elementary School for 19 years, and was a member of Kingscreek Community Church. She enjoyed scrapbooking, painting and using her Criket machine.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Clyde E. Blair; two sons, Noah Marcus Blair and Avery Cooper Blair; a sister, Whitney Fields and husband Tony, a niece and nephew, Allison Hobson and Blaine Hobson; a grandmother, Gertrude Fields; aunts and uncles, Ada and Larry Damrell, Ronald and Rebecca Fields, and Jewel and Bill Fain; friends, Lynda Ferguson Hampton and Tina Lewis; and cousin, Michelle Fields Hall.
Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
