Kyle Edward Bartley, 70, died February 2 at his second home in Whiting, Ind.
A son of the late Earl “Hooder” and Cleo Collins “Dean” Bartley, he was born in Fleming-Neon and was a 1970 graduate of Fleming- Neon High School.
Mr. Bartley was a steelworker employed by LTV Steel for 30 years. He loved four-wheeling and fishing with his grandchildren, and also enjoyed going to Gatlinburg and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Rosemary Rucker Bartley; daughters, Tabitha Riley and husband James of McRoberts and Annetha Bartley of Whiting, Ind.; a son, Jeffrey Rucker Sr. of Cottageville, S.C.; grandchildren, Di’Niyah Lynn and Di’Anthony Kyle Marshall, both of Whiting, Ind., and Jeffrey Rucker Jr. of Cottageville, S.C.; and brothers, Roger Bartley of Andersonville, Tenn., and David Bartley of McRoberts.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Lilly Collins, and Mack and Hannah Bartley, and a sister, Denise Bartley.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. at the Fleming- Neon Church of God in Neon on March 27. A reception will take place in the fellowship hall behind the church immediately after the memorial.
