Happy birthday to some of my family members. My great-niece Ava Golden Abbinanti turned 11 on Aug. 13 and had a party at the Hazard Pavilion. Her granny, my sister Terry Dixon, had one on Aug. 15; her daughter, my niece and Ava’s mom, had one on Aug. 23 and her boyfriend, Mikey Dixon, had one this month; and my nephew, Gary Fugate, has one on Aug. 29. They all live at Carcassonne. Jaimie Sparks of Blackey had one Aug. 14, and her sister, Julie Sparks of Isom, had one Aug. 16.
Dennis Adams of Elk Creek had a triple bypass a few weeks ago. Everything went well for him. He is home and doing fine now.

Faye Caudill of Red Star fell last week and broke her hip. She is doing some better. Her husband Can Caudill had to have surgery recently, but he is doing better. I wish them both the best.
Brenda Halcomb of Carcassonne has had company in for about a week. Her daughter Tina Combs, husband Brad and son Austin and his girlfriend Sara Clark came in from Geneva, Ohio. Brenda said she really enjoyed her time with them.
Ray Nichols of Doty Creek has been in the hospital. He was in ICU but is out now and staying with his sister. I wish him the best.
