Go to our Facebook page for announcements and pictures posted after each event, www.facebook.com/ pages/Hemphill-Community Center

It is official the sheep at Black Sheep Brick Oven Bakery are going to be producing pizza and baked goods Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. You may call in for carryout or dine in. Our new hours will be 3 to 9 p.m., three days per week. We may add days and hours as we see demand.

We are adding two specialty pizzas to our menu this week- Chicken/Bacon/ Ranch Pizza and Barbeque Chicken Pizza. Smoked hardwood bacon is a key ingredient.

Only the finest for you! Come taste the smoky wood-fired taste that cannot be achieved any other way but the ancient way. The finest farm-to-table ingredients make our pizza really special. Mamaw Mable’s favorite dessert pizza is delicious with buttery sweet walnut topping drizzled with glaze. All made from scratch!

Thursday nights we will host a drum circle so bring your drum or percussion instrument and join us at 7 p.m. Friday Nite Pickin’ will continue as usual every Friday. Saturday nights will feature open mic 7 to 9 p.m. Musicians can come sing for their supper every Saturday.

This approaching Thursday is Mid-Summer Night. Come and bring your homemade bread dough to bake in the community oven as an ancient practice. Baking time will be 7 p.m. We will break bread together afterwards. This ancient community building exercise will become a seasonal practice at Hemphill Center. Bragging rights for having been at the first such event will foster good conversation.
