Mike Damron, P.E., was recently elected president of the Virginia Water and Wastewater Authorities Association for a two-year term.
Damron is a native of Jenkins and a graduate of the University of Kentucky, with a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Virginia and New Hampshire.
Damron has more than 26 years of utility experience and has held various positions in water and wastewater utilities operations.
Damron is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, American Water Works Association, Water Environment Federation and American Public Works Association, and is a licensed wastewater treatment operator and water treatment operator. He is the past chairman of the Virginia Drinking Water Quality committee.
Damron is a son of the late Doug Damron and the late Jackie Damron of Jenkins. He and his wife Cindy live in Lynchburg, Va.
