Miss Kentucky Mallory Ervin will be the grand marshal of the Whitesburg Christmas Parade.
The parade will begin at 5 p.m. on Dec. 11 on Main Street.
Santa Claus will be at Christmas in the Park, which begins at 6 p.m. at the River Park next to the Whitesburg Hospital. A festival of lights, a live nativity scene and a petting zoo will be at the event. Camel, horse, carriage, fire truck and train rides will all be available at the park. Children will also be able to make crafts to take home with them.
Sons of the Confederate (Caudill Camp by the River) will be there.
Hot chocolate, coffee, cider and popcorn will be served to attendees.
Shuttle service pick-up points include the old Whitesburg High School parking lot, the Whitesburg Housing Authority, the Earnest Cook Memorial Park across from River Park, and the City of Whitesburg parking lot.
Parking will also be available across the road from the hospital.
Martha Watts, president of the Letcher County Kids Day Committee, says room is still available for more participants to be in the parade.
