Mollie Banks named Instructor of the Year

Linda Combs’s sister Yvonne Sutphin of Goode, Va., visited her family and friends. Her granddaughter Jackie Frome flew home to Virginia from William Woods College in Missouri for Thanksgiving.

Ronnie Brown had a birthday on Nov. 17 and Arminta Ison Jenkins of Texas on Nov. 20. Amber Combs visited her father David and Jennifer. Mollie Banks, formerly of Letcher County, daughter of Mattie Vern and Russell ‘Jeff ’ Banks, is an instructor at Daymar College in Bowling Green. She has received many awards of excellence. This year she received the Kentucky Association of Career Colleges and Schools

and McGraw Hill Higher Education’s Instructor of the Year Award. In 2010, the student pass rates for her school were 100 percent for the CMRS National Exam. Her students have described her as passionate, caring, enthusiastic, willing to go above and beyond to give them what they need to achieve their goals. Congratulations, Mollie.
