“On the Hill” by Betty Pratt

Since we’re back at good old WHS I’d first like to greet the upper classmen and say we’re glad to have you back. Then I’d like to give a hearty welcome to the freshmen that are probably scared silly by now, if they’re anything near to what I was. Maybe we’ll call you “Greenhorns” but we’re only seeing how it feels to be a senior! Don’t take it to heart. We took the same ribbing.

The Speech Class is well under way with what I think is a very interesting class. More and more people are becoming interested in this very worthwhile subject for whom I’m sure Mrs. Hall, the instructor is very pleased.

We’re also glad the Rotary Club is sponsoring a contest for the Speech Class this year and offering a prize of $10 to the winner.
