What a most beautiful day here in Lorain, sunny with temps in the low 50s but only after a cloudy raining morning. I’m thinking Mother Nature has kind of gotten things mixed up. I sort of expect snowstorms in April.
Not been a very good day for either of us today even though I really felt pretty good when I first got up. I even did two loads of laundry then started feeling really sick. Red didn’t feel much better either. Oh well, we just have to face facts, we sure ain’t young anymore and have too much going wrong.
We had company this evening; Milford Clark and his wife Janet came by and spent a couple hours with us. First time we had seen them for some time, but Milford did call from time to time. It was so good to see both of them.
Today was Jeremy’s birthday. Some of his family came from Columbus and Youngstown and surprised him. They were waiting for him and Catharine at the Blue Sky Restaurant.
It’s Thursday morning and what a cool, cloudy, windy day it is so far. Supposed to have sunshine sometime today. Maybe!
Brother Chester is in Elyria Memorial Hospital and is in pretty bad shape. He fell at the nursing home last night and cut a big gash over his right eye. Richard and Georgia plan to go see him this afternoon and I’m going to tag along.
Just talked to Jeanie, Ronald Buford and Henry Warren. Ron and Henry both said they were okay, but Jeanie is just waiting to hear from her doctor. She has to have a medical procedure done.
My deepest to Calvin’s wife, Mary, and all the family. Mary’s father died Tuesday, his funeral was in Indianapolis, Ind.
Red got a call from doctor’s office yesterday, said his blood work was back and something was abnormal. He has to go back in a few days to find out what is wrong.
Don’t like the word abnormal as that’s what my EKG showed and I found out that I now have a condition that is not fixable.
Delores called Tuesday and whether we are together or on the phone we just talk and talk. Red has gotten calls from his brother Charles and two nieces, Frances Howard and Carleta Adams.
Well, I just heard more news about Chester. He’s now in a coma and being moved to hospice here in Lorain. Richard, Georgia and I still plan to go see him and be with Jettie and her family. I called the rest of my family to let them know what’s going on.
Getting ready to fix us a bite to eat and get this finished. Don’t know if we will be home before Catharine shows up.
I hope everyone is well and having some good weather. I’m still trying to get some letters in the mail. Seems I can only get one or two written at a time. Guess I’ve just gotten lazy.
Have a great week and God willing I’ll be around next week. Love and prayers to all.
