The senior fellowship is growing. Participants are increasing in number and as spring has long last arrived, folks are eager to come out for the good fun and good food. If you are over 60 years old you are cordially invited to attend.
The breakfast with the Easter Bunny was successful as always. The children have such a fine time and the adults always love it too. This community event is a tradition that has endured for years and years now.
Each year when our team of incredible mountain cooks assembles to begin cooking before dawn, we work together like the workings of a clock. All during the morning we recount stories of the beloved cooks who have passed on their knowledge to us.
We recount their jokes, antics, and skill. These positive memories are a constant reminder that this is a labor of love for the community. We have been told the food is better each year. Late in the morning we lay off our aprons to go outside and watch the children gather eggs hidden in the grass around the grounds.
