Greetings to all from the Eolia Christian Community Outreach Center.

“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37: 4-5

What a glorious fall we’re having. My only complaint is it doesn’t last long enough. The mountains are exhibiting a brilliant burst of color as a final farewell while making way for the coming of winter.

Last week our revival at ECCO ended resulting in 11 souls saved and seven baptisms so far. Much thanks to ministers Dave Hammond, Verdell Sturgill, Ted Collins, and Judge Kelsey Friend along with singers The Boggs Family, Still Blessed, Thelma Bates, and Bobby Howard for their love and commitment to this very special time in Eolia. To God be the glory!

We also wish to extend wedding congratulations to Amanda and Bobby Brock, Ashley and Casey Sturgill and Tasha and Kevin Maggard.

WED — Amanda and Bobby Brock exchanged vows October 17 at the ECCO Chapel.

Amanda and Bobby exchanged vows Wednesday at the ECCO chapel before officiating minister Ronnie Smith. Ashley and Casey exchanged vows Saturday at the ECCO chapel before offi ciating minister Jack Howard, and afterward were baptized in the little creek that flows by the park.

As you can guess by now, we’ve had a blessed week in our little valley.

I hear that John L. Collins is recovering from his logging accident but may still need surgery so please continue to lift him up in your prayers.

With that said, I’ll leave you with this thought for the day. True love doesn’t consist of holding hands — it consists of holding hearts.

Until next time from the folks at ECCO, God bless.
