Mrs. Addington dies



Memorial services for Betty June Addington, 74, of Pleasureville, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on August 10 at the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church.

Born in Whitesburg to the late William “Bill” and Opal Polly Hall, she died August 3.

She was the mother of the late Regina Kay Addington, and a sister of the late Claud L. Hall, Lena Hall, Lillian Hall Nease, and Loretta Hall Adams.

Mrs. Addington worked in the school system at Wright Elementary in Shelbyville for more than 20 years.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Benjamin Addington; two sons, Charles Jeffrey and wife Mary of New Albany, Ind., and Philip Reed and wife Caroll of St. Paul, Va.; a daughter, Kristina Jo Hennis and husband Jeff Hennis of Louisville; five grandchildren, Charles Jeffrey II, Justin Kyle, Ethan Philip, Samantha Kay, and Nicholas James; two stepgrandchildren, Patrick Wendell, and Jennifer Alane; two great-grandchildren, Jordyn Christopher and Lydia Grace; a stepgreat grandson, Boston James; a brother, Billy Joe Hall and wife Fern; and a sister, Lora Hall Sexton.
