BRENDA BOGGS

Brenda Sue Boggs, 67, of Whitesburg, died January 6 at Pikeville Medical Center.

Born in Hazard to the late Johnnie Rachiel and Henrietta Ritchie Raichel, she was the widow of Ronnie Davidson, and later married Daryl Boggs, who survives her.

She was a sister of the late Gary Raichel.

Mrs. Boggs was graduated from Carr Creek High School and had worked at Martin’s Department Store and the Perry County Board of Education. She was retired from the Letcher County Board of Education.

Surviving in addition to her husband are five children, Veronica Sue Davidson and husband Shaun, and Joel Boggs and wife Tara, all of Whitesburg, Johnnie Hagan Davidson and wife Amy of Hazard, Julie Boggs Holbrook and husband Randel of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Kevin Boggs of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Ashley Mynster Caudill and husband Daniel, and Charlie and Parker Boggs, all of Whitesburg, Katey Mynster Newman and husband Jordan of Pikeville, Emma Davidson of Hazard, Nicci Holbrook of Colorado Springs, Co., and Jared and Tyler Boggs of Lexington; a great-granddaughter, Aubri Nyasia of Whitesburg; two sisters, Rita Stone of Knott County and Teresa Caudill of Sassafras.

Funeral services for Mrs. Boggs were held January 10 at First Baptist Church in Whitesburg. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Whitesburg.
