Mrs. Claus gives a hug

Hello again from the Kingscreek Center.

At our first get-together after Thanksgiving, we talked about how many of our families were with us.

I was joined by my daughter Bunny Dollarhyde and her boyfriend Josh Cornett, my son Broy Dollarhyde and his two children Sierra and Greg.

After our supper, we were joined by my sister Jona Fields, who cooks at the center, and her daughters Shatella Burton and her kids David, Justin and Nicole and Rebecca Fields and her two babies Bailey and Xyler.

We played Dirty Bingo, the dirty part being at the end of the game. You can take prizes from each other.

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, a group of us went to Pikeville shopping. These girls are so fun to travel with. Cathy Ingram drove the van; she’s a good driver. Along on the trip were Margie Sturgill, Judy Eldridge, Eulah Miller, Susie Williams, Faye Herron and myself. We must have gone into all the stores.

I had on my Santa hat and was greeted by one gentleman as Mrs. Claus. We talked a bit and he asked for a hug, said he had never hugged Mrs. Claus before.

Happy December birthdays to Genita Callihan on the 5th, and Margie Sturgill on the 17th.

We will not meet again this week but will be back at it next week, weather and the good Lord willing.

My Christmas wish for everyone is to find a group of friends as nice and as much fun as my group is. I thank the Lord every day for sending me to the Kingscreek Center.

Have a good week and smile at everyone. (They will wonder what you have been up to.)
