Mrs. Fulton was professor

Funeral services for Lou Vera Fulton, 60, of Jackhorn, were held January 4 at Carty Funeral Home in Neon. Burial was in the Willie Bentley Cemetery.

Born at Deane to the late Willie and Billie Jo Bentley, she died January 1 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was the widow of David Glynn “Cotton” Fulton.

She was a member of the Goose Creek Church of Christ, and was a professor at Hazard Community and Technical College where she taught for 29 years.

Surviving are three sons, David Shadrick Fulton and wife Tracy Ann, Georgetown, Jordan Robert Fulton and wife Sam, Kona, and Shiloh Glynn Fulton, Jackhorn; two grandchildren, Colton Lee Fulton and Clayton Shade Fulton; a sister, Cheryl Bentley, Lexington; and three brothers, Tony Craig Bentley and Sheldon Kent Bentley, both of Jackhorn, and Timothy Van Bentley of Richmond.
