Deanna Brown of Oregon has been visiting her parents Sheila and Roger Brown in Virginia, and grandparents Juanita and Earl Profitt of Cowan. Deanna works in a nature conservatory. She, Juanita and Earl visited her great-aunt Virginia Brown one afternoon.
Ben Miller of New York also came in for a visit with his parents, Doris and Charles Miller, and grandparents, Earl and Juanita.
Cammie Gilley celebrated her birthday last Friday. Elizabeth Fleenor took her to Virginia for dinner and shopping. Cowan
A late happy birthday greeting to Randy Brown of Cowan, and Joe Myrel Brown in Mississippi. Randy took his grandsons Corey and Cameron to the lake fishing. Joe spent the day picking up limbs from his yard. We are thankful that was the only damage they had.
Donald Banks of Cowan spent Easter weekend at the lake in Pulaski County with daughters Candy Banks, her children Sam and Sarah Brashears of Kingsport, Tenn.; and Bridgett Banks, her daughters Haley and Sierra of Columbus, Ind. They hunted eggs with dollars in them. The grand prize was $5. They also hunted mushrooms and accidently found a two-foot-long copperhead. Saturday evening they all went four-wheeling at their Uncle Bryan and Aunt Tammie’s at Mt. Victory and had Easter supper with them.
Carol Caudill and Linda Lucas spent the weekend at Mt. Victory with Bryan and Tammie. Also visiting was David Day of Cowan.
Carol, Linda and Tammie enjoyed an afternoon with Verna and Chester Rayburn in Liberty.
J.T. and Carol Caudill spent some time last week in Bean Station, Tenn., doing repairs on their home.
We were very happy and relieved to see Nettie Roberts and Orville Collier both back at church. They had both been very ill for a few weeks. Orville’s granddaughter and great-grandson came with him.
Linda Combs wishes happy birthdays to Yvonne Brown Sutphin’s twin granddaughters, Jackie and Vickie Frame, May 7. Also to Yvonne on May 16, and Regina Crawford and Ramona Finchum, May 18.
