Napier rites held

Funeral services for Earl “R.J.” Napier, Jr., 85, of Cram Creek, were held April 30 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

A son of the late Earl Sr. and Hester Stapleton Napier, he was the father of the late Alice Boggs. He died April 27 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.

He was a member of the Whitesburg Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Mullins Napier; four sons, Burgess Van Napier of Whitesburg, Johnny Wayne Napier of Little Cowan, and Kyle Napier and Mark Allen Napier, both of Cram Creek; a daughter, Terena Profitt of Colson; six grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
