A member of the Jenkins Independent Board of Education has been re-elected to a state leadership position in the largest organization of elected officials in Kentucky.
Durward E. Narramore Jr. of Jenkins will serve a second three-year term as a director-at-large on the Kentucky School Boards Association (KSBA) Board of Directors. He was reelected on Jan. 23 at the KSBA annual conference in Louisville. He also serves as chairman of the board’s Performance Oversight Committee.
A graduate of Jenkins High School and Pikeville College, Narramore is the supervisor of the purchasing and warehouse staff for the Red Onion State Prison in Pound, Va. In his 14th year on the Jenkins Independent school board, he has held leadership positions in the local and regional Kiwanis International organizations and serves as chairman of the Jenkins Education Foundation.
