Nellie Banks buried in Indiana




Nellie E. Banks, 94, of Bloomington, Ind., died May 5 at the home of her daughter.

Born in Tennessee to the late Floyd and Lily May Jones Anderson, she was the widow of Maynard Banks.

She was a sister of the late Bobby Earl Anderson, Lloyd Anderson, Florence Kinser and Connie Janice Anderson

She was a member of the New Life Trinity Holiness Tabernacle in Bedford, Ind., and enjoyed attending church, cooking, sewing and gardening.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Gene Banks and wife Sue of Hayden, Idaho, and Ronald Lee Banks and wife Connie of Indianapolis, Ind.; four daughters, Eileen Banks, Linda Morgan and husband Thadeus, Betty Parsons and husband Jack, and Kathleen Axsom and husband Bill, all of Bloomington; three brothers, Clyde Anderson, Corbin, Larry Anderson and wife Mabel, Burlington, and Doug Anderson and wife Aileen, Stockbridge, Ga.; three sisters, Betty Sue Anderson and husband Ernest of Whitesburg, Larue Wright and husband Rollie, Jenkins, and Faith Ratliff of Bloomfield, Ind.; 18 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 10 in Martinsville, Ind. Burial was at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
