Hello to all my wonderful neighbors on Cowan Creek. As I travel up and down the creek I notice so many new neighbors. I think we need to have a block party and get to know them.

I had not heard that Ella Preston had died until the day after. I always loved going to her house when I was younger. She would ask you in, and you’d tell her who you were. She was a wonderful lady and is truly going to be missed.

I spent two nights with Donna Watts this week. I baby-sit when Mike has trips. He and Michael Watts got to go play golf with a lot of their friends. Glad they had a good father-and-son outing.

On the way to work I saw a deer, a chicken, a squirrel and a puppy all in the road. I had to drive on Mill Branch Mountain. Pretty view.

Got to spend lots of time with my grandsons on Sunday. Fredrick and Tiffany Eversole went to dinner and to two movies. Glad they got out and about. Parents always need to date. That time is so important.

Collin and Connor were so much fun. Connor is talking more and for the first time he looked at me and said, “Grammy, I love you.” Touched my heart. Love my boys.

Collin has to go back to the doctor on Aug. 8 for a scope down his throat to make sure everything is good due to his voice changing. Continue to pray for him and his family.

Morgan, my daughter, has been doing some painting on the old homeplace. I kept Carolina Friday and Saturday evenings. By Monday, this is one worn out Grammy, but the memory is sure worth it.

Not much news this week. If you have news, send it to me on Facebook or email me at: doris.ison@eastkentuckysupports.com.

Until next time. Get out and visit your neighbors. “Love others as I have loved you.”
