Hello to all you senior citizens out there everywhere
All the senior citizen centers were closed a week ago Monday and Tuesday because of the bad roads and the snow we had, but it sure was pretty.
We are having new people coming to our center. We have had four in the last little bit. They are Marie and son, Shoney Pennington, Mary Blair and S.T. Wright. We are glad to have you all. We like to see new faces coming in, as we like to see the old faces who come every day.
We want Jim Craft to know how very much we appreciate him for all he does for our center. Jim is a good old boy.
Coleen Hart is doing good playing the Wii game. She is trying to beat Jim Craft. Betty Pike, come on back and bring that score back up, and don’t let Jim and Coleen beat you. We have several others who are playing. Bob Mayhew is one of them.
For the past three months, we have had a beautiful little girl named Kyleigha Johnson who is five years old coming to our center with greatgrandparents Don and Nancy Fultz. She lives in Indiana and she has been a pleasure to us all. Don and Nancy took her back to Indiana to her mom last Thursday. Nancy said she was looking so sad when they got there, and she wanted to know what was wrong. Kyleigha told her she missed her old friends. (That’s what she called us) Kyleigha, we want you to know your old friends miss you too and please come back to see us.
Rhuford Hart has been sick, but is okay now. Rhuford is the pastor of the Baptist Church, and a great help to our center. He leads us in prayer each day before lunch. He is working on a puzzle, and will probably have it worked when this news comes out.
The quilters got Dorothy York’s quilt finished and put Vina Lucas’s in to quilt. We haven’t done much this past week as it’s been too cold, but springtime is coming so we’ll soon be back in the groove again.
Take care everyone, and stay well. God bless until next time.
