New year has been rough so far

Northeast Ohio

We finally got a pretty good snow in this part of Ohio. We had freezing rain before the snow fell, so it was icy underneath which caused several fender benders.

Hello to Colleen Craft in Fairland, Ind. She called but didn’t stay on the phone long as I was barely able to talk because of a cold. Sorry, Colleen, and I will write as soon as I get back to a semblance of normality.

Red seems to be getting over the worst of his cold. He has talked to his brother, Charles, and niece, Carleta (Engle) Adams. Most down that way seemed to be doing okay, but Carleta said that James Wesley Muncy was in need of prayers. He is pretty seriously ill and has been for some while. He’s a grandson of Red’s sister, Nina, and the only child of the late James (Jim) and Linda (Wright) Muncy.

This new year (the whole first week) hasn’t been too good for me. I have had and still have the worst cold I’ve had in years with everything that goes with it — coughing, sneezing, too warm one minute and freezing the next. You could say I’m just one big mess. Oh well, better days are coming. Now where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, all my life, and I’m still waiting.

Stay well, stay warm and be happy. Love and prayers.
