Now here’s a tip

• “If you have small children, you might want to keep a red washcloth in your first-aid kit. Sometimes the sight of blood can upset a child out of proportion with the injury. If you use a red washcloth, blood won’t show and you can spend your time calming the hurt, not the emotion.” – School Nurse in Arizona

• “If you are a disabled person who is flying, ask if you are able to use the executive lounge for a layover. Many airlines will allow this, even if you are not a member. It has worked for my mother, who is legally blind. She is able to stay out of the way and listen to a little TV, and the customer service agent who is attending the lounge can let her know where to go and when.” – C.L. in Massachusetts
