An Oktoberfest celebration will take place in Whitesburg Saturday (October 22) beginning at 4 p.m.
The Downtown Whitesburg Renaissance Initiative will host Oktoberfest on the Courthouse Square in front of the Letcher County Courthouse in Whitesburg, and celebrate the beautiful fall foliage with free live music and food and beer.
Outdoor music will be provided by Sunrise Ridge, The Local Honeys,
Black Bottom Road, Twang and Round, X-plicit, and Exit 23.
Elizabeth Cook and Triple Run will perform inside Summit City Lounge, and the Cozy Corner will present an exhibit of Kentucky folk art.
Local Kentucky beer from West 6th Brewing and other top-notch Oktoberfest beers from around the world, pretzel-bun hot dogs, mini-brats, and other culinary delights will be available at the familyfriendly event.
Participating businesses and organizations are Appalshop, City of Whitesburg, Community Trust Bank, The Cozy Corner, Kentucky Mist Moonshine, StreetSide Bar & Grill, Summit City Lounge and The Thirsty Heifer Ltd. Co.
