Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well. The weather is doing fine for the time being. I hope it stays snow free and even rain free for a while, but we will take whatever comes and just try to rejoice in it.
It was so good hearing from Judy Dent in Michigan a few days ago. She was thanking me for putting in the pictures of her grandparents and other family members of Price and Mary Whitaker. They were real old pictures, but I remembered them. Does that make me old? Nah!
I love it when people send me these pictures. Alpha Sexton sent them to me. I was real pleased. It brought back lots of memories of the good old days. They were happy days. Everyone lived the same way, good sharing neighbors and visiting on our front porches and watching the children all playing together. Even fighting a little, but it didn’t last. Adams and her sister Isobel Pease. I sat with them and Jim Craft and another nice lady who told me she reads my news every week. The service started before I could find out her name. They had some real pretty singing and some good preaching.
I’m expecting my son Astor and his wife Rosemary this evening. They are going to spend the night with me. They haven’t gotten to do that in a long time. I’m really looking forward to that. We always enjoy being together. I don’t get to see them as often as I’d like, Things like jobs get in the way, but thank God for jobs!
I enjoyed talking to my brother Hillard Howard the other day. He misses everyone, but I think he is getting used to Florida and likes it.
I’m looking forward to an early spring if we can believe the groundhog. I heard in the news he has been wrong lots of times. I hope this time he has it right.
Lots of you people have promised to send me some pictures. People love seeing the old pictures.
Not much going on, that means not too much to write about.
May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere this week if the roads stay clear.
