On Saturday, December 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven stores located along Letcher County’s Route 7, also known as Antique Alley, will kick off the holiday season with an Old Tyme Christmas celebration.
“Letcher County Tourism is proud to support the Old Tyme Christmas antiquing event,” said Missy Matthews, chairman of the Letcher County Tourism Commission. “Unique events like this encourage community members to shop local and attract outside visitors to experience Letcher County at its finest.”
Also on Route 7 is a Christmas light extravaganza with more than 50,000 lights on display, hosted by Robert and Celeste Pugh. The light display will be located at 10148 Hwy 15 in Jeremiah. The Pughs encourage those who would like to view the lights to safely pull off to the side of the road near the display.
