Oliver ‘Heavy’ Bolling dies




Funeral services for Oliver ‘Heavy’ Bolling Jr., 69, of Mayking, will be held at 1:00 p.m., December 21 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Wagner Cemetery at Mayking.

A son of the late Oliver and Lathie Adams Bolling, he was born in Letcher County. He died December 18 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.

He was a brother of the late Dannie Bolling and Zella Stallard, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Diann Bolling, Mayking; two sons, Richard Bolling and wife Stephanie, and Travis Bolling and wife Carrie, all of Mayking; two daughters, Melissa Fields and husband Gary, and Christine Bolling Wilder and husband Jeff, all of Mayking; three brothers, Arch Bolling of Florida, Elmer Bolling of Virginia, and Arnold Bolling of Mayking; three sisters, Jane Savich and Monica Bolling both of Virginia, and Ellen Mills of West Virginia; and 10 grandchildren, Whitney, Jacob, Austin, Alexandria, Amber, Ashley, Kerrigan, Matthew, Nathan, and Paylan.
