Oma is ready to come out of rut

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well.

I’ve been doing real well. I feel like I have sorta been in a rut and I’m ready to come out. I’ve been going through a lot in these last few months, losing two sisters and being so sick myself and not knowing about it. It was like a dream, but I’m awake now and ready to move on.

I haven’t been anywhere except for a doctor’s appointment one time, haven’t been to church or to the store or anywhere, but I’ve had lots of company. My family has been great. I appreciate them so much. I think I will keep them

My church friends and kinfolks have been great!

I appreciated getting a call from Rose Ballard when she was about one mile from my home.

I had to miss a great revival.

It was good getting a call from Shirley Breeding.

She is a special friend of mine.

I enjoyed visits from my brothers Jack Howard and Hubert and wife Joyce Howard and my sister Betty Tyree.

Bennett Welch, I always read your news and know most of the names you put in, even the old ones.

Our sympathy goes out to the Ricky Joe Pease family, Isabel and all the family and Charles and Pearl Noble.

Christine Fields, I appreciate you having my name on your prayer list. I needed it and I’m so much better now.

My sister Betty Tyree came out for a visit today. We can always find plenty to talk about — good stuff of course.

My son Bill and wife Sandra have gone to their lake house for the weekend to rest, but if I know them they will find work to do there.

I got a call from my son Rob this morning. His daughter Rocki and husband Matt and their children Elise and Daniel were there and I know they will have a great weekend.

I’ve missed so much of summer. I’ve missed going to Senior Citizens and seeing all my friends there. I think I’m about ready to be getting out. I think my car has been missing me and thinks I’ve deserted it.

I hope Glendora Eldridge is doing well and not working too hard, and also Bertha (Page) Dye and also Iva (Absher) Cheatham.

I haven’t had a chance to get in touch with anyone, so much has been going on in my family. My brother Hubert Howard is not feeling well. I hope he gets better soon.

So many people are under the weather, but we are getting older and so are our bodies.

I’m real anxious to get back in my church. I hope they all remember me. They have done a lot of work and painting. They tell me it’s beautiful now. Hopefully I will see it Sunday.

We are getting a storm now, thunder and lightning. We need some rain.

I’m sorry I don’t have much to write about. Hopefully I will hear from people and hopefully see some and find out what they’ve been doing.

My son Astor said he and his wife were planning on coming to see me. I’ll be looking forward to that.

May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere if you are able.
