Ona Fay Sexton, 73, died September 28 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born in Letcher County to the late Bill and Hazel Brock Triplett, she was a grandmother of the late Little Parnell. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara, and a brother, Gary.
She was a member of the Calvary Temple Church of God at Sandlick.
Surviving are her husband, Elmer Elwood Sexton; four sons, Luther Allen Sexton, Erlanger, Jerry Wayne Sexton, Clay City, and Charles Edward Sexton and Terry Layne Sexton, both of Whitesburg; two daughters, Oma Lou Osborne, North Charleston, S.C., and Tina Renee Adams, Whitesburg; three sisters, Louise, Bristol, Tenn., Loretta, Michigan, and Lisa, North Dakota; seven brothers, Bill of South Dakota, Roger of Tennessee, Gene of Michigan, Donnie of Kentucky, and Roy, Glenn and Darrell, all of Jenkins; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Oct. 2 at the Calvary Temple Church of God at Sandlick. Burial was at Isom.
Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
