An organizational meeting of the Parent Nomination/ Election Committee of the Letcher County Central High School Site Based Decision-Making Council will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, in the school library/
Parents of LCCHS 9th to 11th graders and parents of Letcher County 8th graders who are pre-enrolled at LCCHS for the 2014-15 school year are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to organize the Parent Nomination/Election Committee, which facilitates the nomination of parent candidates for election to the LCCHS SBDM Council for the 2014- 15 school year. Additionally, this committee will conduct the 2014 parent election for the council.
The election date, time, and place will be determined by the Parent Election/ Nomination Committee and announced during the meeting on May 1. The parents elected will serve from July 1, 2014 until June 30, 2015.
