Hello everyone. Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the weather.
We’ve had all kinds this week. We really needed the rain and after all the hot weather the cool weather felt real good, so we can’t complain. We shouldn’t anyway. We got some nice changes and I loved it.
I enjoyed talking to Frieda Ratliff and Teresa Pease. The poor things were needing their air conditioner checked, and my grandson, Chris Hatton, was at the lake.
He took care of them both when he got home. It gave me a chance to talk to them. Chris lives next door to me, so I get to talk to a lot of people.
Are you ready for some real exciting news? Me too, but I don’t have any.
There’s not much going on, so if you have some good news, you didn’t tell me. Shame on you! I love hearing from everyone.
I did meet two Blackey friends, Betty Watts at Walmart and Bro. Elwood Cornett at the hospital visiting.
That’s what I was doing. I visited with Aggie Hatton and her son, Denny Ray Hatton, who was staying with her. Her daughter, Delana, had spent the night with her. Her family is good to visit her and her husband, Charlie Hatton, is not doing real well either. They both need everyone’s prayers.
We sure miss them at church. Aggie and I have been sitting together for many years.
Chris and Sarah Hatton and their children, Beau, Brooke and Gracie, and Larry and Linda have been to the lake for a few days, and all had a great time fishing and riding in their boat.
Our sympathy goes out to the family of Frieda (Lark) Boggs of Cowan. She graduated with my son, Robert Hatton.
I wish a belated birthday wish to our cousin, Wanda Hatton, the wife of the late Kellis ‘Bud’ Hatton.
She was the best thing that ever happened to Bud. She visited him so often when he was in the Veterans Center the same time his uncle, Clyde Hatton, was there, and she keeps his grave decorated so beautifully.
I appreciate you so much, Wanda! Bud had a very bad life until he met her. She saw that he had a good life with her.
My son Astor and his wife were supposed to come visit me last Sunday, but Rosemary got sick and they had to take her to the hospital. She’s okay now, and I’m thankful for that.
May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere this week.
