Oxycodone dealer gets probation

A Whitesburg man charged with trafficking in the potent painkiller oxycodone has been released from jail on shock probation and will remain on supervised probation for five years.

Letcher Circuit Judge Sam Wright granted shock probation for Stanley Lee Sexton, 58, of 7759 Highway 931 North, on April 12. Sexton was serving a sentence in the Letcher County Jail after pleading guilty to selling oxycodone and the antianxiety drug Alprazolam to a cooperating witness of the Letcher County Sheriff ’s Department and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HITDA) Task Force on July 14, 2010.

As part of the agreement, Sexton must pay a supervision fee of $15 each month and a drug-testing fee of $10 each month for 12 months.
