An organizational meeting of the Parent Nomination/ Election Committee of the Letcher County Central High School Site Based Decision Making Council will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, May 5. The meeting will take place in the school library.
Parents of LCCHS students in the ninth to eleventh grades and of eighth graders who are pre-enrolled at the school for the 2011- 12 school year are encouraged to attend the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to organize the Parent Nomination/Election Committee, which will facilitate the nomination of parent candidates for election to the LCCHS SBDM Council for the 2011-12 school year. The committee will also conduct the parent election for the council.
The election date, time, and place will be announced during the meeting May 5. The parents elected will serve from July 1, 2011 until June 30, 2012.
