Paul Morris, retired Letcher County Extension agent, is well known in this area through his 40-year bluegrass music radio programs.
All of his programs will soon be on the air on WSGS 101.1 FM radio in Hazard. The broadcasts can be heard on the 100,000 watt radio station on Saturday mornings, beginning at 7 a.m.
The shows will follow the same format that the fans and friends remember with 30 minutes of “Yester Ray’s Country” followed by two hours of bluegrass and then two hours of gospel music. Morris will also continue his Sunday gospel programs on WXLN in Shelbyville.
The broadcasts on WSGS 101.1 in Hazard will first be on the air on Saturday morning, Nov. 5, at 7 a.m.
Morris says he is thankful that he will again be reaching out to all his friends and fans in eastern Kentucky and hopefully, to many more in the wide listening area covered by WSGS
His programs will continue to be recorded in his home at Amber Oakes Assisted Living in Shelbyville.
