Funeral services for Pearl Harlene Baker, 61, were held February 19 at the Little Dove Baptist Church in Eolia. Burial was the Phillip Cemetery in Eolia.
A daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle Brock Baker, she was born in Letcher County. She died February 9 at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, N.C.
She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Samantha White and Shahannah Rose White, and three sisters, Allie Mae Coots, Mary Gaye Sturgill and Shirley Virginia Lewis.
Surviving are a son, Rodney Wayne Warren and wife Anna M. of Cumberland; three daughters, Yvonne Odette Skeens and husband Daniel and Jennifer Renee Dunson and husband John, both of Jacksonville, N.C., and Glenna Virginia Rose Amburgey and husband Gover of Cowan; four brothers, James Sturgill of McHenry, Ill., Rodney Sturgill and Benny Sturgill, both of Eolia, and Tommy Baker of Cumberland; four sisters, Hannah Burke, Ossie Lewis, and Maureen Church, all of Eolia, and Dorsey Brock of Whitesburg; and eight grandchildren, Nikkia, Tyler, Cotton, Carlos, David, Isaiah, Lyliana, and Shade.
