DR. SEUSS WEEK — Students at Martha Jane Potter Elementary School recently held a weeklong celebration of the March 2 birthday of children’s author Dr. Seuss. The children wore outfits each day to honor Dr. Seuss including green in honor of the Dr. Seuss character the Grinch, their favorite hats, their silliest socks, their pajamas, and red and black or white clothes in honor of the Cat in the Hat (also Martha Jane Potter’s school colors). Guest reader for the occasion was Letcher County Ranger Sean Blair.
