The Lillian Webb Memorial Library in Fleming-Neon held pie tasting and pie eating contests on Sept. 8 as part of the Neon Day events. Contestants for the pie eating contest were (left to right) Lauren Hall, Sara Hall, Damian Fletcher, Eric Tackett, Caleb Stamper and Nathanial Champion. The first place winners of the pie eating contest were Lauren Hall in the 15-25 year old category, and Damian Fletcher in the 5-15 years old. First place winner of the pie tasting contest was Richard Stewart with his apple cranberry pie and second place went to Tazsha Hall with a banana split pie in a waffle cone crust. First place winners received a $25 Walmart gift card and second and third place winners received a movie or CD. Judges were Jeanette Ladd and Pearl Goode.
