Taylyn Combs was named female entertainer of the year, female vocalist of the year, and songwriter of the year in the category of ages 17-20, at the Georgia Country Gospel Music Awards/Tennessee County Gospel Music Awards held in Nashville, Tenn., at the Country Music Hall of Fame. She now moves on to nationals where she will perform in Gatlinburg in March. She is a physical therapy student at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and is the daughter of Debbie and Gene Combs of Isom. She performed recently at the Kentucky Horse Park and in Frankfort, and will front for Lynyrd Skynyrd with Logan Hall. She is pictured with her grandmother, Elizabeth Couch of Hazard.
