Pina Freeman dies at 91

Pina Freeman, 91, of Whitesburg, died November 11 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

A daughter of the late George and Delia Potter Fox, she was the widow of James Hubert Freeman. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Chris Freeman; a sister, Maxie Deaton; and a brother, Alvin Leon Fox.

Surviving are a daughter, Pat Combs of Mayking; two brothers, Doug Fox of New Lexington, Ohio, and Stephen Fox of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Stella Foster of Radford, Va., and Mary Dallas Fox of Millstone; four grandchildren, David Combs and wife Tammie, Christie Wright and husband Derrick, Melinda Kestler and husband Steve, and Jimmy Freeman; seven great-grandchildren, Carlie Combs, Meghan Combs, Christian Kestler, Ethan Kestler, Taylor Tyndall, Grace Tyndall, and Tyler Freeman; and a friend, Donnie Tyndall.

Mrs. Freeman was a member of the Hester Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #54 Whitesburg.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, November 16 at Letcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 6 p.m., Wednesday, November 15 at Letcher Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
