Shown below are the front windows of Hobo’s Diner which raise awareness of the importance of early breast cancer detection to increase chances of survival. In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Zeta Zeta, Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority of Letcher County is encouraging local businesses, organizations, churches and schools to “Wipe Out Whitesburg with pink”. Money raised during the event will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Judging is based on creativity, promoting education, theme and the most pink. Judging will be held Oct. 22.
