Kentucky State Police are investigating the disappearance of a woman who walked away from a treatment facility in Knott County.
The initial investigation indicates that Kelly L. Hampe, 29, of Frankfort, was last seen as she walked away from the Caney Creek Rehabilitation Center at the Pippa Passes on November 14, 2020. Trooper Matt Gayheart, public information officer for KSP Post 13 in Hazard, said police do not suspect foul play at the this time, but Hampe has not contacted her family.
Hampe is described as being 5’3” inches tall and weighing 120-140 pounds with red hair and blue eyes.
The Kentucky State Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Hampe and is asking anyone with information to contact KSP post 13 at (606)435-6069. Trooper Bobby Roberts is in charge of the investigation.
