To the Editor:
The Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs and the Office of Kentucky Veterans Centers would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to Letcher County Clerk Winston Meade for raising funds for the Paul E. Patton Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center (EKVC) located in Hazard, Ky.
Through their “Hope for Tomorrow” program, the Letcher County Clerk’s Office donated $2,400 to repair/ reupholster eight gerichairs at EKVC.
The efforts of the Letcher County Clerk’s Office to raise funds to benefit our Kentucky veterans are greatly appreciated and will continue to aid in the services provided by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs. It would be impossible to accomplish our mission of taking care of our veterans without the overwhelming support we receive from the community. Winston Meade is a wonderful example of the appreciation shown for veterans in your community.
