Donelda Breeding Cook, 82, died Tuesday, January 26, in Louisville.
Born in Hazard, to the late Pearlie Marie and Carl Breeding, she was the widow of Billy Joe Cook.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Travis Cook; a brother William Woodrow Breeding; and sister, Moonene Breeding.
Mrs. Cook grew up in Whitesburg before settling in Columbus, Ind., for most of her adult life. She later moved to Prospect, and ultimately to Louisville.
She is survived by her daughter, Mina J. Cook of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Mina Leigh Feddern of Louisville; and a brother, Carl Wayne Breeding of Lexington.
Private services will be held in Columbus, Ind. Remembrances may be made in her name to the Animal Care Society, 12207 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY 40245, or to any animal-related charity, rescue, or shelter of significance to the individual wishing to honor her.
