Hope all the prom goers had a wonderful time. The pictures I have seen have been amazing, the girls so pretty and the guys so handsome. It brings back memories of my children.
Sharon and Randy went to the prom so many times that I should have bought a tuxedo and rented the gowns. I wouldn’t change a thing!
Maxine Quillen’s granddaughter, Cheyenne Jent, looked lovely in her prom pictures. She is a beautiful young lady.
Brandon Jent was home from UK for the weekend.
Maxine had company all last week. Her friends Heber and Mary Hampton stopped for a couple days with her on the way from their home in Florida to their home in Michigan. The next visitors were John and Martha Winnegar from Indiana.
Martha has a lot of relatives in Letcher County. Hope they come back soon.
My daughter Sharon and her husband Greg Holbrook were home one day this week for visitation and funeral for his Aunt Norma Hall. Ron Holbrook, Steve Hall, Johnny and Anita Spicer were also in.
Wilma and Charlie had her brother, Larry, and his wife Louise Caudill and her sister Wanda and lots of other family visiting.
It was such a sad time for Norma’s children, Jeff and Ann, for not only had they lost their mom but their dad, Eugene Hall, was in the hospital very ill. May God bless them and all her family.
Sympathy to not only Norma’s family but to the families of Loretta Church, Sara Ison, Lady Adams, Homer Breeding and Bill Caudill. Loretta was a sister to Rose Ballard. Rose, we are remembering you in prayer.
Prayers for Dorothy Tackett, Geneva Akeman and all who are sick and hurting.
Thanks to my neighbors, Ricky and Phyllis Yonts, I had a good supper on Saturday. They picked me a mess of plantain and, boy, was it good. I told them I’m so glad Clester doesn’t like it. More for me!
I stopped by John B. Adams Store at Isom and Danna had a very special helper, Emma Holcomb. She has the prettiest eyes and such a nice smile. Emma is Danna’s granddaughter.
Happy birthday wishes for Jean Cook, Gina Dotson and Jay Slone. Hope your days were special.
I attended a baby shower for Miss Maci Ann Richardson on Saturday. Maci will be the best-dressed baby for a while. She got so many beautiful outfits and we got to see her. She has a head full of dark hair, but I don’t know who she looks like, maybe a bit more of Amber than Mark. Brenda and Jerry and all her family are so blessed to have her. Ann is one proud greatgrandma.
It was good seeing Ernestine Spangler. She is having health issues, but she is a fighter. She looked wonderful.
Thank you, Rosie Bates, for remembering Clester. We appreciate you.
